Project Overview

Cornelius was no stranger to building businesses. He made a name for himself as an affiliate sales expert, and helped other home entrepreneurs make a living selling products on sites like Amazon. Most of his expertise was in organic tactics and strategies particular to eCommerce sites. He was great at building that type of business, but when it came to selling his mentoring programs, he wasn’t sure where to start. He knew that a sales funnel fueled by paid advertising would be a good idea, but he also knew he had no interest in wasting time or money on something that wasn’t working. When ROAR got involved, we focused on Cornelius’s two main troubles: 

  • Cornelius knew how to build other people’s businesses, but he needed a way to get the word out about his services. 
  • In such a fast-paced industry, Cornelius couldn’t waste budget on something that wasn’t going to perform—he needed immediate, guaranteed ROI.

Execution

For Cornelius, our goal was to drive traffic to his website in order to get entrepreneurs to book calls. We needed to find his audience, reach them when they needed his help most, and explain why he was the obvious choice. We settled on a three-step plan: 

  • First, we needed to build a sales funnel that started with Facebook ads, directed to a landing page, and convinced leads to schedule calls with Cornelius. 
  • Second, we needed to guarantee that the services Cornelius had to offer were the exact services that would make his audience convert.
  • Finally, we needed to identify the best sales process to take Cornelius’s leads from the end of the call to a permanent slot on his client roster.

Results

The important part of Cornelius’s campaign was guaranteeing ROI right away. Cornelius didn’t want to waste any time or money, and neither did we—that’s not how we do things at ROAR. We took a look at Cornelius’s offer: Mentorship on building affiliate sales businesses from the ground up. The offer was excellent, but many people looking for a profitable business to run from home didn’t understand how to get started, and they didn’t know why Cornelius was THE person to help them build a business.  

We figured out that the best way to bring Cornelius’s audience his message was to distill that message into an easy-to-understand video. We started by creating a short Whiteboard video walking prospective leads through Cornelius’s step-by-step process. Next, we took that video and paired it with a variety of Facebook ads, testing things like copy, headlines, CTA, and other creative. Based on the results, we updated the audiences daily in order to optimize Cornelius’s ads for maximum ROI. In just 60 days, we generated 29 scheduled calls for Cornelius Stone! 

Our strategy came down to three simple steps:
